Sharon has lived and traveled throughout the United States and Europe. Her travels played an important role in influencing her design style - from architecture to canvas to textiles.

In the mid-1980's, Sharon moved to Carmel, California where she started her first company, Silver Star Entertainment. She managed the audio and visual needs for conferences in several hotels, including the Doubletree in downtown Monterey - where she also performed in and managed one of Monterey's first and most popular Karaoke shows.

In 1996, Sharon moved to Tampa, Florida, where she attended St. Petersburg College, majoring in Multimedia Design and Photography. While in school, she worked as an Art Director and designer for a local agency specializing in the home-building industry, gaining the real-world experience that would allow her to start her own marketing design company upon graduation.

In August of 1999, Sharon started Dragonfly Media Arts, primarily as a print media design firm specializing in the home-building industry putting her architectural interests and skills to work doing renderings, floor plans, and sales collateral for a variety of local and national builders.

In February 2009, Sharon moved DMA's corporate offices to Charleston, South Carolina, where she has expanded her portfolio to include additional real estate developers, as well as environmental manufacturers, automotive dealers,  music venues, churches, and retailers.
